Am I eligible?

Thinking about taking the leap? International travel is not without rules. Check these conditions to see if you qualify.

  • Age
    You need to be 18-35 years old (you must apply after your 18th birthday and be issued your visa prior to your 36th birthday)
  • Required Savings
    You must have the equivalent of $3,400 CAD saved in your account as of the day you submit your application. These are called support funds and are a requirement of the South Korean government.
  • Duration
    You will get a 24-month multiple entry visa.

  • Nationality
    These adventures are open to Canadians only and you must be residing in Canada at the time of application.
  • Health Insurance
    Health insurance is required for the duration of your stay.
  • Start Date
    You can start at any time of the year. Arrival dates are scheduled monthly.
  • Criminal Check
    Must have no criminal record and a criminal background check is required.

  • Registration Timeline
    Register on this program at least 3 months prior to your planned arrival in South Korea. Do not make travel arrangements until your program coordinator gives you the go-ahead.

Do I need to speak Korean for a Working Holiday in South Korea?

While it's not mandatory to speak Korean for a working holiday in South Korea, having some Korean language skills will significantly enhance your experience. It will make daily life easier, improve job prospects, and allow for deeper engagement with Korean society.

This is why our program includes beginner Korean language classes! As part of this package, you'll have access to 5x 90-minute language lessons during your first 4 weeks.

Do I need to visit a South Korea Embassy or Consulate to apply for the Working Holiday visa?

Yes, but it depends where you live in Canada. We will provide all the details.

What kind of jobs will the team in Daegu find for me?
