Japan Language and Culture

Say ‘hai’ はい to the adventure of a lifetime in one of the most incredible travel destinations on the planet! There is no better way to experience Japan than to work in Japan from Canada and immerse yourself in the Japanese language.
We have collaborated with an amazing school in Tokyo, Genki Japanese Language and Culture School (GenkiJACs), to offer the Japan Language and Culture program.
Not a kanji expert? No problem! All skill levels, even the most basic beginners, are welcome. With a focus on small class sizes and one-on-one language development, you are bound to surprise yourself with the progress you make! Language classes are taught by expert instructors in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The small class sizes (maximum 7-8 students per class but averaging around 4) allow for personalized instruction and more opportunities to practice with your teacher. With all the hands-on help, you’ll see your skills develop at bullet train speeds! Get ready to wow locals as you navigate your way through Japan.
Conversational classes are divided into various levels, ranging from complete beginner to advanced, so there is something for everyone. Classes will show you essential communication techniques in structured lessons with a teacher, inside and outside the classroom. Studying Japanese in Japan also means you will have the opportunity to practice what you learn in real-world scenarios on a daily basis. If you are a beginner, you will practice useful everyday dialogues, such as asking for directions and shopping, so you can get the most out of time as you work in Japan from Canada.
Want to put all that you’ve learned to good use? If you’re up for an exciting challenge that will make your time in Japan even more memorable, add on our optional working holiday visa package. You will gain a solid foundation during your 2–4-week language and culture program and then spend another 6 months to a year building your language skills while you work and travel in Japan! SWAP will help you secure your visa, a bank account, phone, accommodation, work, and more. Let us figure out the complicated logistics so you can spend more time sipping sake and taking in the beautiful views as you work and travel in Japan!
