When you come to Canada with SWAP, you can travel knowing you have the support of our dedicated staff across the country who will ensure that you have the best working holiday experience possible. As a member of our Job First program, you’ll receive all the same great SWAP services included in our Canada Essentials package, but you’ll also get lined up with a great job that you can start as soon as you arrive.

If you don’t want to waste valuable time job searching when you first arrive in Canada, we can help you secure employment before you leave home with our Job First program. We work with top employers in Western Canada and have jobs available in Whistler, Banff, Victoria, Vancouver, and Jasper. Employment opportunities include hotels, resorts, restaurants, and retail. The following roles are available for the summer work season (May – September) and winter work season (November – March)

Note: There are job options for all levels of work experience and English language ability but both
factors will impact the job that can be offered to each applicant.

    Casual. Comfortable athletic clothing, hiking shoes, hat and warm jacket.
Work in Canada + Job First
When it comes to living and working in Canada, there are some requirements you will have to follow. Check these conditions to see if you qualify.
To be eligible for this program, you must be eligible for an International Experience Canada Working Holiday Visa.

The Working Holiday category is only available to youth from countries that have youth mobility agreements with Canada. Click here to check your eligibility.

If you are eligible for a Working Holiday Visa, you must also be prepared to have a valid passport for the duration of your visa length, arrive in Canada with emergency medical insurance for the full duration of your stay, and have at least CAN$2,500 in support funds to help cover your expenses in Canada.

Settling into life in Canada, with a great job pre-arranged will be easy!  Feel free to contact us with any questions you have as you get ready to take the first step.
Step 1: Email us at canada@swap.ca and we’ll send you our Job First Application form

Step 2: Once you return your application form to SWAP, we’ll send you our guide on how to prepare a Canadian style resume and we’ll help with any edits that are required.

Step 3: We’ll plan a virtual interview with you to discuss your job options and we’ll forward your resume to your preferred employer. The employer will reach out to you to arrange a virtual interview.

Step 4: After successfully completing the interview, the employer will formally offer you a job!

Step 5: We’ll help you to start planning your arrival to Canada, book your arrival orientation (optional) and get you booked in for your pre-departure orientation session that will help you prepare for your arrival.

Step 6: You arrive in Canada and begin your adventure of a lifetime!
